I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I received a B.S. in Elementary Education with minors in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Florida State University. I taught in Florida for 4 years before moving to Virginia in 1992. I received my M.Ed. in Counselor Education from The University of Virginia. I came to Albemarle County in 1994.
My time is split between Red Hill and V.L. Murray. In addition to my role as the School Counselor I am the SBIT & 504 Coordinator at Murray, I am Red Hill's Web Content Coordinator and I sponsor the Kids Care Club there. I also serve on the county's School Counselor Leadership PLC and as the Web Editor for 5 schools.
I love to travel I finished a quest to spend time in all 50 states before I turn 50 and now working on the Canadian Provinces. I also spend my leisure time with reading and scrapbooking I am a huge football and baseball fan and follow the FSU Seminoles, the Carolina Panthers, and the Detroit Tigers very closely.
